Monticello Area & Ag Tours

"Pumpkin Farm" is a popular tour and you might want to see one of the many agricultural related industry tours that are available in Monticello.

Each tour is about one hour long. Monticello Riverside Gardens is a pleasant stop after the factory or ag-tour. The gardens are a showcase for the diversity of flowers available for today's gardens. Tucked between residential areas and scenic Maquoketa River, it includes more than 30 flower beds, a picnic area, gazebo, nature trail, wetlands, and a nature center. This area is also famous for their canoe rides that are available by reservation.

If you are touring Monticello consider the Historic Tour of the "Silk Stocking District" which includes the Farwell House Bed and Breakfast, available for groups that need a refreshment stop or a light lunch. Historic Monticello has great shopping for antiques, crafts, and gift items. McNeill Hardware is like stepping back in time at a 1920 hardware store, and J.T. Haderway is a shoppers dream with everything from quality clothing to collectable glassware.

This tour can be customized for you or your group with additional stops.
